What Radar stores
- Your business profile. The business name, industry, service areas, services, what you provide and seek, your description, contact preference and visibility, and the email address you sign in with.
- Sessions. One sign-in cookie,
__Host-radar_session, holding only a random id. Radar keeps a hash of that id, not the id itself. - Sign-in links. Single use, and valid for 15 minutes.
- Waiting list. Whether your business is on the waiting list or admitted, and when it was admitted. The admit link sent to the operator is a single-use token, and Radar keeps only a hash of it. Nothing else new is stored.
- Submissions. What you send through the contact, corrections, consultation, founding application and introduction forms, including any reply address you give.
- Estimates. If you use the Photo-to-Estimate pilot, your price book and your estimates, including the request text you enter.
- Reviewed-plan request. If you ask for a reviewed plan from one of your saved plans, Radar keeps a private intake built from it: your saved answers, the three opportunities (as ideas to consider, not recommendations), the optional details you add (how often the work happens, how long it takes, who handles it, the tools you use and anything the plan must respect), and when you agreed to have them made into a private plan. That agreement is not consent to sales contact. Your request is never public and is not used for matching.
- AI Advantage plan. Each version of the plan made from your reviewed-plan request: the draft Claude proposes, the operator's review and any edits, and the plan released to you, with the starter resource and its version. You see only a released plan. Radar also records the first action you choose and when you export the plan.
- Actions and check-ins. The actions you choose from your plan, the baseline you give, and each check-in: whether you tried it, how it went, what you measured or estimated, what got in the way and your next step. Also your reminder choice, which starts off; no reminder is sent today. If written clarifications are offered, your questions and the operator's answers. A time with no check-in is recorded as no answer, never as a result.
- Introductions. For each introduction you request or are asked about: the two businesses, the match it came from, the requester's note, what each side agreed to share and when, any reply contact you type, the status and its dates, and the feedback you give afterwards. When the operator asks the other business, it sees the requester's note, and the industry and service areas if the requester allowed them. Names and contacts are shared only after both sides agree, and only the fields both sides allowed.
- Verification and membership records. Whether the operator has verified your business, what was checked, and a short reference to evidence the operator keeps in their own records; Radar stores no document. Also your founding cohort status and the access the operator arranged for you. Radar handles no payment.
- Operator review queue and work log. A to-do item for each piece of operator work about your business, such as reviewing a plan or asking about an introduction: its kind, status, next step and dates. The work log records the operator's minutes by category, and holds no content of yours.
- AI usage counts. For each call to Claude, the kind of call, the model, the number of tokens, the cost and the outcome. Never the text sent or received.
- Audit and rate-limit records. What happened and when, as codes and keyed hashes. They hold no profile text, and no email or IP address in readable form.
Radar sets no advertising cookies. Optional first-party pilot measurement is described below.
Public opportunity discovery
The public discovery flow at /discover/ does not create an account or publish your answers. Your browser carries answers between steps. When you generate a plan, Radar holds your answers and the provisional plan privately for 48 hours, protected by a random HttpOnly browser cookie. Radar stores only a hash of that cookie. After signing in, you can explicitly save the exact plan and answers to your business account. Saved plans remain until you delete them or your account. Saving does not release an operator-reviewed plan; you can request one from a saved plan.
When you request or revise an initial plan, Radar sends your goal, business type, optional city or service area, description, workflow, obstacle and corrections to Anthropic. The business-name field stays out of that AI request. Contact details are removed where detected; do not include customer identities, sensitive records or confidential information in free text. Radar records usage and rate-limit metadata, separately from stored plan content. Ask Radar can use your plan, question and up to four recent exchanges with the same AI provider; Radar does not retain a permanent advisor chat log. No website research is performed.
This initial plan is an automated suggestion or a labelled guided fallback, not an operator-reviewed plan. Requesting it does not consent to marketing, membership, introductions or implementation services.
Optional pilot measurement
With your permission, a random first-party HttpOnly cookie links usage events for 24 hours. Radar stores a hash, categorical actions, language, broad goal, selected path, timing and inference metadata for up to 30 days. No answers, contact details, business IDs or raw IP addresses are included. Internal quality checks are kept separate from visitor measurements. You can stop measurement and remove events linked to this browser's current cookie at discovery privacy settings.
Who else handles it
Each of these receives what is listed here, including the public discovery processing described above.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database that holds everything above. Cloudflare Web Analytics, when it is switched on, counts page views without setting cookies.
- Resend sends your sign-in links to the address you give, and sends the operator a notice of each registration and each form you send, including that form's fields.
- Anthropic runs Claude, which reads only the text the notice beside each feature names: the description and needs you type when registering, with contact details removed; your profile, your question and the public records Radar matched, for Ask Radar; and an estimate request with your price book, without its prices, for Photo-to-Estimate; and your reviewed-plan request (your saved answers and the details you added), your business type and the starter resources, but not your business name or address, to draft a plan for the operator to review. This is under Anthropic's commercial terms, and it is not used to train models.
- Yolo Labs is the sign-in provider. It receives the fact that you signed in to Westside Radar and when (your first and last sign-in), and your Yolo Labs identity. It receives nothing from your Radar profile. This is governed by Yolo Labs' published terms and privacy policy. Radar keeps a hashed form of your Yolo Labs identifier.
How long Radar keeps it
In force now
- A sign-in link stops working after one use or 15 minutes. Radar's copy of the email carrying it is cleared once it can no longer be used.
- A registration you never confirm is deleted after its link expires.
- A session ends after 30 days, or when you sign out.
- Estimate request text, with its city and photo descriptions, is kept while the estimate is open and cleared 30 days after the owner approves or rejects the draft; lines, totals and statuses are kept.
- A reviewed-plan request is kept while your business exists. When you request again from another saved plan, the earlier request is kept 12 months and then cleared to its summary line.
- Plans, actions and check-ins are kept while your business exists. Nothing from them is kept after deletion; if Radar ever keeps de-identified totals for pilot reporting, this notice will say so first.
- An introduction request that has been asked expires after 14 days without an answer. 12 months after an introduction closes, it is reduced to its outcome and dates: the businesses, note, contacts and shared choices are cleared.
- Deleting your profile removes it at once, with everything linked to it: sessions, saved items, feedback, your price book and estimates, your saved plans and reviewed-plan requests, your plans, actions and check-ins, verification and membership records, review queue items, and the forms you sent while signed in. Open introductions are cancelled, and your identity is removed from every introduction record; the other business's own consent record stays. What stays is a record that a deletion happened, the AI usage counts, the operator's work-log minutes and the audit codes, none of which holds profile text. Cloudflare's database backups may keep deleted data for about 30 days; Radar has not yet confirmed that period.
Proposed, not yet in force
These periods are proposals waiting for the operator's ruling.
- Used or expired sign-in links deleted after 24 hours, and email records after 30 days.
- Rate-limit records deleted 24 hours after their window.
- Audit records kept 12 months, and deletion records 3 years.
- A profile with no sign-in for 12 months flagged for the operator's review, not deleted automatically.
- Closed operator review queue items deleted after 12 months.
- Forms sent without signing in have no period yet, and are kept until the operator rules.
Your choices
- Edit your profile at any time on your profile page.
- Choose who sees it: only you, other members, or the public. When you unpublish a public profile, it can take up to five minutes to leave caches.
- Delete your profile on the same page. It takes effect at once, as described above.
- Export your saved plans and reviewed-plan requests as plain text from your saved plans export.
- Export your reviewed plan as plain text from your reviewed plan page.
- For an introduction, choose what you share, and withdraw before it is made. Nothing is sent to the other business automatically; the operator asks it by hand.
- Reminders start off. Turning them on records your choice; no reminder is sent until the operator approves sending them.
